Posture 3c. Followed by — Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ (or any other sūrah)
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ ٱللّٰهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
Arabic | Transliteration | English Translation |
قُلْ هُوَ ٱللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ | Qul huwa-llāhu aḥad | Say: He is Allah, the One |
ٱللّٰهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ | Allāhuṣ-ṣamad | Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute |
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ | Lam yalid wa lam yūlad | He begets not, nor is He begotten |
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ | Wa lam yakun lahū kufuwan aḥad | And there is none comparable to Him. |

Key Points to Remember
- ✅ An additional sūrah or passage is recited after Al-Fātiḥah in the first two rakʿahs of the prayer.
- ✅ Any sūrah or portion of the Qur’an may be recited here.
- ✅ In the third and fourth rakʿahs of farḍ prayer, only Al-Fātiḥah is recited without an additional sūrah.
