Key Points to Remember
- ✅ After the first sajdah, rise to sitting while saying Allāhu Akbar; sitting up fully with stillness (ṭumaʾnīnah) is required before the second sajdah.
- ✅ In this sitting it is recommended to say Rabbi-ghfir lī (“My Lord, forgive me”) — your Salah Guide notes it three times; a fuller form Rabbi-ghfir lī warḥamnī… is also established.
- ✅ The sitting position is the same as in the tashahhud — men in iftirāsh, and in the Ḥanafī school women sitting low with both legs to the right — with hands resting flat on the thighs.
- ✅ Then say Allāhu Akbar and perform the second sajdah exactly like the first.
- ✅ After the second sajdah: rise (with takbīr) to standing for the next rakʿah — or, after the second rakʿah, remain sitting for the tashahhud.
